Play through has been super smooth with the exception of the first day launch realm room creation, which I sort of expected and is upsetting - just decided to make an offline character when I couldn't get back into my online character when it timed me out. It appears gambling is a little different as the items do not disappear from the gambling stash after you purchase, but doesn't effect the rarity from my testing and saves time to find the item you're looking to gamble on. The auto gold pick up is a good addition, and I didn't realize this feature would mean so much until I started trying to get some gold for gambling katars. The graphics are great, and I decided to go with the more zoomed in resolution and it feels a bit more intimate and scary when a lot of enemies are on the screen. And, it appears it is better than my memory of D2 on my junky PC (my last play through on PC was earlier this year and I made it to around level 90 on a bow amazon). My first reaction, is that the developers seem to have it right - the game just feels good, looks good, and performance seems smooth if not super smooth. Also, I sort of thought it was a gamble making the purchase without any performance feedback other than the developers that said the switch version ran like butter. I was nervous about the clicking and hadn't tried D3 to see how picking up items worked on the switch. This morning I decided to purchase the Nintendo switch version as my PC is junky and I wanted mobility, and hey bathroom play is a plus if you're into that - but really I think gaming on handheld just is more fun. Hi all - long time diablo 2 player on PC.
